Well I went out Turkey hunting in Heppner Oregon and was dissapointed with the outcome. Not because we didd'nt get anything but because we didd'nt see anything that we could harvest. And it wasn't from the lack of trying. We called for them, we set up blinds for them, we set up decoys for them. We were high and we were low, in snow and out. We gave them every oppertunity that we could think of. But...Nothing worked! So we setteled with a camping trip instead. Put up our guns and pulled out the camera and had a great time getting some pictures of the other wildlife around us. We got some great shots of the Elk and Mule Deer, and even some pictures of an big old owl. So I wanted to put this out there for anyone who may have an explanation or words of wisdom that would help me understand why there was no harvest for me this spring season. Do I need to pick a new spot? If so could you help me out with that? Iam from Oregon and like to keep it local. Some people say it was the weather, some people say it was the hunter. Lets hope for better weather. LOL.
