I have never shot a deer with my bow yet...but this info. has been a good insite on the different broadheads. I have been shooting the Thunderhead 125gr. into a 3D target, even though I know that it's not the same effect. But getting this kind of info is good to know.

As we all know, in a perfect world with a perfect shot, probably anything with a point will kill what you are shooting. Real life does not always offer the perfect shot for a lot of us bowhunters out here. Apparently we just aren't as lucky to have always been blessed in this regard. Rest assured, when it comes to a big bull, a big hog, or many other heavy boned animals, you want the best there is to offer and I can guaruntee it is not the expandables or mechanical broadheads. Things happen in the field that do not always allow for the perfect non bone hitting shot, therefore in my opinion I try and educate myself on the best product for the job at hand. shot one deer with rage 3blade, called company and got my money back. muzzy mx3 and/or slicktricks fly every bit asgood and i know what they are going to do. shot plcement is right on the money though
