I've always heard the same about winds(do not hunt/fish with an east wind), but I have had some days of good luck with an east wind.
My camera shows a lot of movement during all phases of the moon, but the times may change a little. I think a bigger thing is the passing of fronts thru an area. Just my thoughts, not to scientific.

I've been watching my trail cam for the last 8 weeks and see more night deer activity during the full moon phase and during the new moon phase the deer are moving more in the mornings and evenings just after sun rise and just before sun set. I'm in Colorado so that might affect things. I hunted white tails in Iowa for many years before moving to Colorado 25 years ago. The one thing I have learned is there are many differences between white tails and mulies.I do believe hunting success is as kgamrat states, the right place at the right time. All my deer hunting is with a bow and have bow hunted for 16 years in Iowa and now getting back into bow hunting after many years away from bow hunting. I have been doing a lot of predator calling for the past 25 years in Colorado.

Full moon is cursed by many hunters, but I've found it's not a problem. Just be sure your in the woods at mid day, I've seen many hunters just take naps at lunch with a full moon. For me it's the time to be on the stand close by a bedding area, they bed down early with the full moon then move around some at mid day. It's paid off numerous times for me.
