What would be the longest shot you would take if you had to take a shot?

40 yards, I don't practice longer than that. Where I hunt, Piney woods of east Texas, no need!

It would have to be the perfect situation but if I had the shot at 50 yards, I'd take it. Again, it would have to be perfect broadside, standing still, zero wind and ranged exactly. I would be comfortable taking that shot.

i shot this deer at 64 yards broad side kind of quartering away, but i practice out to 80 yds, even 64yds was really a long shot when your heart is pounding and you just closed the gap from 300+ yds away, but i love spot and stock it makes more for the stories!

i have taken deer up to 65yards and elk at 80yards. i use to shoot a half an hour to hour a day lots of 3ds, practice up to 100yards. i spot and stock desert mullies. i have'nt shot in a couple years because of a roto cup operation and a few other things. getting back in to it again. got a bull elk tag this year. i'm going to try to get set up for 65yards at the most. there is a lot factors in a long shot. if you are comforable take it. hell marys suck.

For me 40 yards for now. Until I get confident. I think I would have to take a lot of things into consideration if and when I moved out to 50 or 60 due to weather and wind conditions which might affect flight. I would do it if I had the confidence and practice at those ranges, just not there yet.

Out hre in the open plains of Montana it is hard to get close the critters so I practice pretty regurlarly at 50 to 70 yards. I don't like to take those shots but confidence plays a big role in accuracy. I harvested a turkey at 65 and a speed goat at 62 yards this year but the conditions were perfect.

I practice 30yards to 90 yards regularly. To date the longest kill I have is 60 yards.Everything has got to be just right when your reaching out there aways.
