I live in illinois but own 60 acres in missouri, crp land. Lots of birds, turkey, deer and a stocked pond. I generally hunt this by myself, maybe willing to let someone else in on this. where is everyone from? |

Sounds like you have some decent hunting property. I hunt a friends land in NY. I have it almost all to myself during archery and spring turkey but it gets a little too much pressure during regular gun season. The whitetail population is good and there are some great genetics but it's hard to give the deer the time they need to grow when the neighbors shoot anything that is brown. |

I agree i put out cameras bout 3 months at a time before season, i have shot enough deer now i tend to be selective. There are guys who had stands on my fenceline and hunted the draws of my property, well i stopped that by putting my own stands there...LOL |

For guys sitting in my stands I put out cameras catch them in the act; pattern them..and then the fun begins because I grab the Stihl and take a walk too the stand.. they seem to get the point and don't come back once you fire that puppy up. |

Here in the suburbs of Los Angeles, I have to travel a minimum of 150 miles just to get to public ( pubic ) huntable land.... If I were a Property Owner with UN-INVITED hunters on my land, I'd 1st post NO HUNTING TRESSPASSING signs and then notify the LawDogs about my posting with the statement that ALL violaters will be Shot... Survivors will be eaten!..... I know of a Property owner who did that in Murietta Ca. has had NO UN-INVITED GUESTS since! |

Hopefully you got to cut the tree down before they could get down!!!!! |

I look at it this way. If some guy is trespassing on my land, and I don't know it, then if he happens to get shot at, it's his own fault, wink, wink!!!!!!!! NRA LM, NAHC LM, Buckmasters LM, Second Amendment, DU, NWTF, QDMA, SportsmenNA, Everyday Hunter, and PROUD SC redneck REBEL for life. If the South had won the war, Obama wouldn't be in the White House. |

For people who hunt on our land we set up trail cameras and catch them that way. Or our neighbor at our cabin will get a few beers in him and he will tell us how he has shot deer off our land. |

If I do catch them I post there picture that I have from my trail cam. Put the picture in a clear plastic bag that is water tight and hang or post it on the tree my stand is own. keep copies for your self. The note i put in the bag says: I know who you are tresspassing is a crime the next time I catch you, the kind lawman will be notefied, thanks for your picture. Never have I seen the guy again sometimes they take there photo, but who cares you have a copy. |
