i think im having a problem with severel different seed companys. im getting a great stand of fox tail in my patches. i have tilled under and waited four weeks for new growth then burned off with round up and sewed seed. the fox tail has come up uniform just as the clover should..fox tail is bout the same size as clover seed. i think its passing through the inspection proscess. any help out there?

On every bag of seed, there should be a comment or complaint contact. If not, contact your local ag dept. Seed companies have to back-up their products and if there is a problem with their seed, they have to reimburse you for some of the cost.

this should not have ever been a problem.. there was zero fox tail on this farm before the planting. it ticks me off!!

I live in Texas and am wondering if the throw and grow stuff is any good. I don't have time to plant much with work but would love suggestions for northwest Texas region. Would oats do just as well in a small area or brassica or what?

what area are you huntingat in NW TX region? And oats should do well it just depends on the soil

Thanks, Planted oats in last week of September and they are already coming up nice. Actually got rain. Green shoots coming up like weeds. We are in Northwest Texas and SongdogSlayer nailed it!

thats great that you got them in before the rain. thats all i have done for the last 2 months is plow. hope it gets you the deer you wanted
