I bought it at Bass pro shop they've always been cool about things there and I planed on taken it back to them but I thought someone might know why that would happen, I'm not sure the brand of string thats on there, any sugestions what a good brand might be longer lasting?

Talk to a Bow Shop about the quality of string you need. The ones that don't strech are pretty nice. A new string should last a little longe then that, if taken care of.  Do you happen to use an arm gaurd??

no, i don't use an arm guard unless i'm wearing a jacket, i've talked to the local archery shop he'll make a set of strings and install for 150; ouch!

Use a high end string, one that has been pre stretched, shouldn't have a problem after that. $150.0 for a string is two much!!

I just had one made for my bow, any color and installed for $90. Pre streched ready to shoot. two months and still great. Check for some quality strings on line.

Not sure what PSE bow your shooting, but if it's a pro series bow they have strings and cables made by Americas Best Bow Strings, they use 8125 BCY material. 8125 is a stronger material which allows for fewer strands, which inturn bumps up the IBO speed rating. But 8125 is known for fuzzing up and to be twangy. We use custom made strings and cables made by Pro Strings and we only request 452 BCY material. We sell about 200 strings and cables a year and have no complaints. 452 BCY is quiet, very stable and none fuzzing. We sell a custom set of strings and cables installed for 99.99 and guarantee them not to stretch or creep for a year.

Rub some box string wax after each session of shooting or after every other session. But not during a session. When you see the string looking kinda dry its time to wax those strings. Take some time to check for loose screws and other items on your bow, It will help make you more aware of your bow.

Waxing the strings is good maintenance for them. Every time you you draw the bow the strands of the bow string rub against each other creating friction and heat. Waxing them provides a lubricant between the strands to protect them, some people even use a hairdryer to melt the wax in to the string.
